Cottages and Campgrounds

Cottages - Wisconsin
In our minds this one is perfection -
Stein Vatten is a Norwegian Heritage cottage tucked into a beautiful spot within steps of Rullands Coulee Creek. Take a look it's FABULOUS!

other Wisconsin options:
Timber Coulee Cottage
Coulee Cabins
Kickapoo Valley Ranch

SE Minnesota options:
Winnebago Springs is remote and offers several different options from individual rooms to spacious luxury cottages all within a minute or two walk to a premier, highly productive and nearly private stream. They are located about ten minutes SE of Caledonia MN and can serve those that are fishing either SE Minnesota or NE Iowa!

Campgrounds - WI

Visit www.vernoncounty.org/parks/ for more information but as a quick reference -

Jersey Valley northeast of Westby offers beautiful camping and reasonable amenities. The flood control lake is the headwaters of the West Fork of the Kickapoo River.

Esofea Park west of Westby is the more remote, tends to be quieter and offers a popular and productive trout stream right outside your tent or camper door.
Hotels and Motels

We suggest staying in Viroqua, Westby or LaCrosse when visiting the area that we fish. For the true flavor of the area Westby and Viroqua should be the target and there are some decent options.

The Westby House -- is an outstanding local BnB!!! Second to none and a very long business history. Incredible dining as well!

Westby: Olde Towne Inn --- An older "motel" with just the basics, some slow internet and a cup of coffee in the AM - but right next door to a GREAT restaurant/supper club bearing the same name.

Viroqua - the Vernon Inn and Suites. Built in the early 90's as a premier Super 8 property it's the more modern basics and Viroqua offers some eclectic dining options from fast food to some local cafe's etc... A favorite amongst the Chicago Trout Unlimited crowd.

If one is looking for more comfort than the basic's LaCrosse offers multiple chain and boutique type hotels that cover the entire spectrum including a great variety that overlook the Mississippi River in historic downtown LaCrosse. There are also a large variety of shopping, restaurants, parks and other things to do. Click here for the LaCrosse Convention and Visitors Bureau site for guidance or give us a call.

No matter where you are staying we pick you up at your front door, drive you to the fishing, have a nice chat on the way and deliver you back later in the day.
